Focus Features and Working Title announced today that FINDING EMILY will release in US theaters on August 28, 2026. Focus Features, Universal Pictures International and Working Title previously announced FINDING EMILY will be in UK theaters on May 22, 2026. Focus has worldwide rights on the film and UPI will handle international distribution for the studio. MacDonald’s directorial debut is produced by Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner for Working Title and Olivier Kaempfer for Parkville Pictures. The film is written by Rachel Hirons (A Guide to Second Date Sex; Powder Room; Kiss Me First).

When a lovesick musician is given the wrong number for his dream girl, he teams up with a driven psychology student to find her. Together, they spark a hilarious campus-wide frenzy that tests their own hearts and ambitions along the way.
