JJ Feild (Captain America: The First Avenger, Austenland) and Golden Globe® nominee Thora Birch (American Beauty, Ghost World) have joined the cast of The Etruscan Smile starring Brian Cox (Troy, The Bourne Supremacy, Braveheart) and co-starring Rosanna Arquette (Pulp Fiction, The Whole Nine Yards). Directed by Academy Award® nominees Oded Binnun and Mihal Brezis (Aya) from a script by Michael McGowan, Michal Lali Kagan, and Sarah Bellwood.  The Etruscan Smile is based on the Spanish Best-seller La Sonrisa Etrusca by Jose Luis Sampedro. Principal photography has begun on location in San Francisco and will continue in Scotland.

Cox takes the lead role as Rory, an elderly Scotsman as he travels to San Francisco seeking treatment to aid his terminal illness. Residing with his estranged stateside Son (Feild) throughout his treatment, Rory finds he feels more alive than ever as their relationship begins to grow and he builds a connection with his previously distant family thanks to his affection for his 6 month old grandson.
