All Star Cast to Join Pickleball Comedy THE DINK

Red Hour Films and Rivulet Films announced today that Chloe Fineman (“Saturday Night Live,”), Patton Oswalt (Young Adult and Big Fan), Aaron Chen (“Fisk,” “Ronny Chieng International Student”), Martin Kove (The Karate Kid, “Cobra Kai”), Chris Parnell (“Rick and Morty,” Hot Rod), Christine Taylor (Dodgeball, “Search Party”), and seven-time Grand Slam tennis champion John McEnroe (“Never Have I Ever”) have joined the pickleball comedy, The Dink. Principal photography began in Los Angeles today on the Josh Greenbaum (the upcoming Spaceballs sequel for MGM, Will & Harper) directed film based on an original screenplay from Sean Clements (“Workaholics,” “Kevin Can F**k Himself”). Jake Johnson, Mary Steenburgen, Ed Harris, Ben Stiller, and Andy Roddick boarded the film last month.

The Dink follows a washed-up tennis pro who, in trying to save a club in crisis and win his father’s respect, is forced to break a solemn vow and do the one thing he swore he’d never do: play pickleball.

John Lesher and Ben Stiller are producing through their Red Hour Films banner, alongside Jake Johnson and Rivulet’s Rob Paris and Mike Witherill. Rivulet will also be fully financing this production and the company’s senior strategic advisor Rick Steele will serve as Executive Producer alongside Sean Clements and Josh Greenbaum. Renowned tennis coach Brad Gilbert, who most recently coached Grand Slam champion Coco Gauff, has also joined the production as technical consultant, alongside his wife, Kim. The couple recently collaborated with Luca Guadagnino on his tennis love-triangle, Challengers starring Zendaya.
