The musical mockumentary will be re-released in exclusive theatres from July 5-7 in conjunction with its upcoming sequel Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, which releases theatrically September 12.

This is Spinal Tap will be remixed, remastered and in 4K on the silver screen. The special release of this film marks the third partnership between Bleecker Street and Fathom Entertainment, the former which recently acquired the U.S. distribution rights to the film. This is Spinal Tap was originally released in 1984 to critical acclaim and went on to become a cult classic, being selected for preservation by the National Film Registry in 2002.
