Focus Features, Working Title and STUDIOCANAL announced today that PRESSURE will be released in U.S. theaters on May 29, 2026 – ahead of the annual D-Day day of remembrance, setting the stage for a major theatrical event tied to one of the most consequential moments in modern history.
Featuring an all-star ensemble led by Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser, Kerry Condon, Chris Messina and Damian Lewis, PRESSURE is set during the tense 72 hours before D-Day. As the fate of the free world hangs in the balance, General Dwight D. Eisenhower and Captain James Stagg confront an impossible choice — launch the largest and most dangerous invasion in history or risk losing the war altogether.
The film is directed by Anthony Maras (HOTEL MUMBAI), who co-wrote the script with Olivier award-winner, David Haig, based on Haig’s critically lauded play, which enjoyed a hugely successful run in London’s West End, before going on to be performed for Her Majesty The Queen and world leaders to mark the D-Day 75th anniversary in 2019.
STUDIOCANAL, which financed the title, developed the project with Working Title and Anthony Maras.
Working Title’s Eric Fellner, Tim Bevan, and Lucas Webb produced, with Cass Marks and STUDIOCANAL’s Anna Marsh, Ron Halpern, and Joe Naftalin as Executive Producers.
