Off the hot heels of the extraordinary success of Obsession, which nabbed an insane $520 million worldwide on a sub-$1 million budget, director Curry Barker returns to helm his next feature with Focus Features titled Anything But Ghosts. Releasing May 7, 2027.

The premise, as listed, is: “Two fake paranormal investigators must face real ghosts while dealing with the deception of their own fraudulent business.”

Barker directs the film and co-wrote the script with his Obsession star and longtime collaborator, Cooper Tomlinson. They will also star alongside Bryce Dallas Howard, Aaron Paul, Chris Reinacher, and Violet McGraw. Blumhouse-Atomic Monster, Spooky Pictures, Divide/Conquer, and That’s a Bad Idea (the duo’s YouTube channel) are serving as producers.

Focus Features handles the worldwide rights, while Universal Pictures International will handle international distribution. See the teaser below from Barker and Tomlinson.
