Box Office: A Pretty Quiet Halloween Weekend, But ‘You Can See Everything’ Surges to Top

Well, it is spooky enough that it isn’t a big, explosive weekend at the box office, even by Halloween standards (to be fair, we are up 17% from last year’s respective Halloween weekend; however, the 2025 and 2026 spooky season weekends are well below the non-COVID “It’s still Halloween!” weekend since 1998). Maybe it would be more enticing to say that a certain three-hour documentary surged and took the gold medal in its 3rd weekend…

You Can See Everything crept past Clayface to win the weekend, earning $10.6 million. It may have a good chance of passing $100 million domestically if it legs like 9/11: Fahreinheit, which would put it third of all time for documentaries in the North American region. It’s already on track to pass Civil War as A24’s third-biggest grosser, behind Everything Everywhere All At Once ($77 million) and Marty Supreme ($96 million). A hell of a statement for what’s sure to get some nods at the Academy Awards next year. Now, we’re curious to see how it legs out against the newcomers next weekend (The Cat in the Hat, Godzilla: Minus Zero, and Ramayana: Part I), which will assuredly demolish the entirety of this weekend’s totals.

Meanwhile, DC Studios’ third installment earned $10.4 million and brought its 10-day domestic total to $44 million. A decent hold for the DC installment, which will probably finish its domestic cume around $70-75 million and its worldwide cume around $125-130 million. That’s on par with Black Phone 2, Scream V, Smile 2, and Halloween Kills. This will do something for the DC installment, with a $40 million budget, which needs wins after the Supergirl flop earlier this year.

Paramount’s Street Fighter is sinking like a stone, as the $82 million video game adaptation has earned $92 million globally and will barely crack $105 million worldwide by the end. Once again, not a good sign for the IP. Heart of the Beast passed $181 million worldwide. Wildwood earned $7.5 million in its second weekend, and Wicker earned $4.125 million in its second weekend.

Newcomer BTS World Tour ‘Arirang’ in Buenos Aires and São Paulo Live Viewing earned $2.8 million in 1,010 theaters. Resident Evil will pass $400 million worldwide by the end of this sentence, and Other Mommy has passed $107 million globally.

Next weekend sees the release of Godzilla Minus Zero, The Cat in the Hat, I Play Rocky, Wild Horse Nine, Club Kid, and Jimmy.
