STEVE CARELL AND JOHN KRASINSKI TO REUNITE FOR FAMILY MOVIE ‘IF’

It feels like a lifetime ago when both men shook hands on the Dunder Mifflin setting in The Office, but now, co-stars Steve Carell and John Krasinski will reunite onscreen in Paramount’s new film If.

Krasinski will write, direct, and star in the feature. He’ll also produce If through his company, Sunday Night, with partners Andrew Form and Allyson Seeger.

Other announced cast members include Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve), Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Louis Gossett Jr. (An Officer and a Gentleman), Alan Kim (Minari), and Cailey Fleming (The Walking Dead). No official premise has been announced, but Krasinski story plans to detail a child’s journey to rediscover their imagination. He shared a post on social media about a “dream cast,” with the tagline being “What…IF.”

John Krasinski and Steve Carell have a dated history from The Office as they played Jim Halpert and Michael Scott, respectively. Their workplace underrated friendship ran for several seasons until Carell’s character left the series near the end of Season 7 as his contract had not be renewed by NBC. Once the series concluded for good, Krasinski made a name for himself starring and directing in the highly-acclaimed A Quiet Place and its sequel. Carell recently starred in Space Force on Netflix, and will voice Gru in the upcoming Minions: The Rise of Gru.

It’s unknown who else will join the cast, but rest assured, Carell and Krasinski (and even Reynolds) will ensure eyes are drawn to this product come its release.

If is scheduled to be released on November 17, 2023.
