Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi To Star in ‘Wuthering Heights’ Adaptation Coming February 2026

Emily Bronte’s 1847 novel will come to the big screen in time for Valentine’s Day season. The film is scheduled to release on February 13, 2026.

The film will start filming in the UK area next year. Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi will star as Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, respectively. The feature also stars Hong Chau, Alison Oliver, and Shazad Latif. Recently, the project sparked a bidding war, with Warner Brothers winning the call with their $75 million offering, which includes a wide theatrical release and a whole marketing gig.

Emerald Fennell (Killing Eve, Promising Young Women, Saltburn) will direct the feature, citing an interest in gothic.

Wuthering Heights follows Heathcliff, whilst initially resented, eventually being chased by Catherine, and the two become inseparable. However, many events become entangled in their love, leading to a story of morality, religion, class system, and abuse.
