Pollstar recognized Louisiana’s Shreveport-Bossier region (part of the Shreveport-Texarkana Designated Market Area) as one of the top 100 American concert markets in 2024. The Brookshire Grocery Arena played a major role in this accomplishment, bolstering future success for the region in 2025.
The recognition is based on box office success for live events: the Brookshire Grocery Arena amassed 79% of attendants for concerts and 81% of Shreveport-Texarkana ticket sales.
With an enthusiasm for film-related entertainment also, the Shreveport-Bossier Film & Entertainment Commission aims to polish the area’s reputation as a film center by bringing productions and developing tourist attractions to promote the region’s entertainment scene.
“We are excited about the incredible momentum in Shreveport-Bossier’s film and entertainment industry,” said Wade Marshall, Film & Entertainment Commissioner at Visit Shreveport-Bossier. “Every effort is geared towards enhancing our community and showcasing how Shreveport-Bossier is a dynamic destination, alive with music, art, film, food, festivals, and history.”
Shreveport-Bossier will additionally debut two new attractions: LIVE! Casino & Hotel Louisiana, and Chasing Aces, a social golfing and dining experience. The former opened on February 13 and offers gaming, dining, live entertainment, and other luxury accommodations while Chasing Aces opens in the spring/summer of 2025.
With the creation of new jobs, infrastructure improvements, and a stronger community due to economic growth, the Shreveport-Bossier region stands to see much prosperity in 2025 through financing its film and leisure industries.
