The world’s first purpose-built immersive entertainment district AREA15 has unveiled a new attraction: the John Wick Experience. Now open to the public, AREA15 released the first photos of the nearly 12,000-square-foot attraction that includes two themed bars and a retail shop.
Located minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, fans of the billion-dollar franchise John Wick can test their skills in completing a mission while immersed in over 12 themed cinematic rooms, interactive gameplay, and live interactions in a high-stakes adventure. Guests will be tasked with completing a unique mission involving Wick-esque characters, mythology, and iconography. Visitors will be drawn into the culture of the John Wick Experience as part of an authentic, compelling escapade.
“In the films, Chad Stahelski has created a complex, alternate reality with exquisite design, deep mythological influence and meticulous action,” said Jenefer Brown, Executive Vice President & Head of Global Products and Experiences at Lionsgate. “The most important part of creating this experience was honoring that and making sure that our guests truly feel like they are part of the world of the films. The experience delivers wholeheartedly on that promise, and we are excited to share it with fans.”
Franchise director Chad Stahelski and his team at 87Eleven collaborated creatively on the experience from design to special stunts. Lionsgate also worked closely with Stahelski and producer of the experience, Egan Productions. Egan is Lionsgate’s collaborator on two other Vegas attractions: The Official SAW Escape that opened in 2018 and has been named Best Escape Room by USA Today; and Escape Blair Witch which opened in 2021.
The “John Wick Experience” launch comes as Lionsgate and Stahelski continuously expand the world of John Wick. The spinoff Ballerina is set to premiere on June 6, and another spinoff led by Donnie Yen is still in development. The franchise will expand to become multimedia, with the Stahelski and Keanu Reeves-executive-produced “John Wick: Under the High Table” series and John Wick AAA video game in development.
