Happy Death Day director Christopher Landon returns to the thriller genre with Drop, a whodunit starring Emmy nominee Meghann Fahy (White Lotus, The Perfect Couple).
Fahy plays Violet, a widowed mother on her first date in years with charming Henry (It Ends With Us‘ Brandon Sklenar) at an upscale restaurant. The date grows murderous as Violet keeps receiving anonymous drops to her phone, forcing her to follow instructions—with her final direction being to Kill Henry—and tell no one or the hooded figure she sees on her home security cameras will kill her son and sister.
Violet Beane (Truth or Dare) and Jacob Robinson star as Violet’s sister and son, with Reed Diamond, Gabrielle Ryan, Jeffery Self, Ed Weeks, and Travis Nelson playing the restaurant staff.
Drop is written by Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach, who wrote Blumhouse’s Truth or Dare and Fantasy Island. It is executively produced by Sam Lerner, and producers include Jason Blum for Blumhouse, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller for Platinum Dunes, and Michael Bay.
Drop is in theatres on April 11.
