The Philadelphia Film Society has a lot to offer in this new quarter of 2025. The series In Dreams: David Lynch comes to the PFS along with Laura (1944) and the 4K releases of The Wizard of Oz and Peyton Place.
Like Lynch, a series of films that inspired director Bong Joon-ho will be screened; a four-director series for David Cronenberg, Nobuhiko Ôbayashi, Luchino Visconti, and Rainer Werner Fassbinder; reality series Pros and Cons: After Life; and Summer Camp, whose Monday showings in June will be BYOB.
Q&As, special guests, and talent will be present at special screenings. Union on April 10 features a panel discussion with organizers Amazonians United, Amazon Labor Union, and the Philly Whole Foods Union, among fiction and non-fiction works.
The Film Society Center will be closed for remodeling over the summer, so screenings will take place at Film Society East in Philadelphia.
