Bleecker Street announces its theatrical release dates for its fall slate, including a varied selection of prestige titles. The distributor will release Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney’s epic documentary Musk on October 16; BAFTA®-nominated Anton Corbijn’s thriller A Talent For Murder – starring Academy®, Golden Globe®, BAFTA®, Emmy®, and Tony Award® winner Helen Mirren alongside Alden Ehrenreich, and Olivia Cooke – on October 23; Palme d’Or winner and Academy Award® nominee Mike Leigh’s Tender Loving Care on December 4; and on January 8, 2027, Academy Award®-winner Guy Nattiv’s next film starring Carrie Coon, Lily James, Odessa Young, Tracy Letts, and Bella Ramsey – which will also have an awards qualifying run in 2026. Bleecker’s Cannes selection Victorian Psycho was previously announced for a September 25 wide release.

Gibney’s Musk, which Bleecker Street is releasing on October 16 alongside HBO Documentary Films and Universal Pictures Content Group (UPCG), is an epic look behind the legend of Elon Musk, the world’s most heralded “inventor-entrepreneur” who has enormous influence on the world in which we all live. It is produced by Gibney, Jessie Deeter, and Erin Edeiken from Jigsaw Productions; Zhang Xin and Joey Marra from Closer Media; Nick Shumaker and Jessica Grimshaw from Anonymous Content; and Dana O’Keefe from Double Agent. Executive producers include Double Agent’s Michael Heimler, Yariv Milchan, Natalie Lehmann, and Emily Selinger; Richard Perello from Jigsaw; William Horberg from Closer Media; David Levine from Anonymous Content; as well as Kent Sanderson and Tyler DiNapoli for Bleecker Street.

Corbijn’s A Talent For Murder, which Bleecker Street will release October 23 alongside long-time collaborator LD Entertainment, is a twisty thriller based on the 2014 play Switzerland by prolific Australian playwright, screenwriter, and novelist Joanna Murray-Smith, who adapted it for the screen. The film follows a callow young literary agent from New York (Ehrenreich) who is sent to Switzerland to persuade celebrated writer Patricia Highsmith (Mirren) to write one final installment of the Ripley anthology. Magnolia Mae’s Gabrielle Tana and LD Entertainment’s Mickey Liddell and Pete Shilaimon serve as producers on the film. Also producing are Brouhaha’s Troy Lum and Andrew Mason; Jim Robison and Kurt Martin for Lunar Pictures; Carolyn Marks Blackwood for Magnolia Mae Films; Karl Spoerri at Switzerland’s Zurich Avenue; and Andrea Occhipinti for Italy’s Lucky Red. The movie was financed by Head Gear Films, Metrol Technology, Vacancy Films and LD Entertainment

On December 4, with Tender Loving Care, legendary British filmmaker Mike Leigh returns with an insightful and compassionate exploration of the contemporary world, reteaming with Bleecker Street following his acclaimed Hard Truths. Using his distinctive cinematic voice, Leigh delves into themes that challenge and resonate with modern audiences. Plot details are currently being kept under wraps. The film stars Marion Bailey (The Crown), Paul Jesson (Mr. Turner), Widow’s Bay breakout Kate O’Flynn and Alice Bailey Johnson (Hard Truths). Georgina Lowe serves as producer.

Starting off the new year, Untitled Guy Nattiv will be released nationwide on January 8, 2027 with an awards qualifying run this fall. Bleecker reteams with Academy Award®-winner Nattiv for the 1980s set film inspired by his grandmother’s experience with an insidious cult, starring Carrie Coon, Lily James, Odessa Young, Tracy Letts, and Bella Ramsey. Rita (Coon), a woman in midlife haunted by the weight of her past, encounters magnetic young spiritual leader Ricki (James) and leaves her family to follow her to an all-female commune. But when her daughters Ella (Ramsey) and Jo (Young) arrive unexpectedly and become drawn into the group’s seductive world, Rita is forced to choose between the family she left behind and the life she believes can save her. The film is produced by Julia Lebedev and Eddie Vaisman for Sight Unseen, Jaime Ray Newman and Nattiv for New Native Pictures, Oren Moverman, and Steven Schneider and Roy Lee for Spooky Pictures.

“We are extremely enthusiastic about the strength and range of our fall slate – from an epic investigation of one of the world’s most notorious figures, a legendary actress transforming into a legendary author, a highly personal and compelling journey into a sinister cult, and the latest from one of the world’s most humanist filmmakers,” said Kent Sanderson, CEO of Bleecker Street. “We can’t wait to bring all of these brilliant films to audiences at festivals throughout the season and to a broad audience theatrically.”

The announcement comes on the heels of Bleecker Street’s Victorian Psycho – starring Maika Monroe, Jason Isaacs, and Thomasin McKenzie – premiering at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival to critical acclaim, which will release September 25. Earlier this year, Bleecker Street’s event cinema distribution division Crosswalk enjoyed box office success with Stray Kids: The dominATE Experience, which was released across North America, and the main label releasedAdam Shankman’s acclaimed farce Stop! That! Train! starring RuPaul, on June 12. Crosswalk and LD Entertainment’s live theater capture of the Tony and Grammy-winning hit musical Hadestown, will release July 24.
