Alexandra Daddario Joins Evangeline Lilly And Ike Barinholtz In HAPPY LIFE

Highland Film Group announced today that Alexandra Daddario (Baywatch, “True Detective”) has joined the cast of David Stassen’s (“The Mindy Project,” The Oath, Blockers) debut feature film Happy Life, which he is writing and directing. The comedy will also star previously announced Evangeline Lilly (Ant-Man and the Wasp, Avengers: Endgame, “Lost”) and Ike Barinholtz (Suicide Squad, Neighbors, “The Mindy Project”).  Stassen and Barinholtz are also serving as producers alongside Andrew Robinson and Aperture Media Productions. Highland Film is handling international sales and UTA Independent Film Group is handling the US sale.

Happy Life follows new mom Allison Beck (Lilly) who suspects her workaholic husband Eli (Barinholtz) of having an affair with an Instagram star (Daddario). One mistake after another leads her into the arms of a younger man as she struggles to come to terms with her life decisions as she strays farther from her perfect, responsible super-mom self. Principal photography will commence in September.

Daddario will next be seen starring in CBS’s fall premiere series “Why Women Kill” alongside Ginnifer Goodwin and Lucy Liu, and she is currently in post-production on We Summon the Darkness, which Highland Film Group is handling international sales, and Elise Duran’s Can You Keep a Secret? based on the novel by Sophie Kinsella and also starring Kimiko Glenn, Tyler Hoechlin and Laverne Cox. Daddario will also serve as executive producer on the project. Past credits also include starring roles alongside Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron and Priyanka Chopra in Paramount Pictures’ Baywatch; alongside Adam Devine in Netflix’s When We First Met; in the mystery thriller We Have Always Lived in the Castle, which is based on the 1962 novel of the same name; and Warner Bros.’ San Andreas
