Dawn Porter’s The Way I See It documentary got the seal of approval from President Barack Obama and First Lady Michell Obama. The Obamas each posted on their social platforms in support of the film that centers around their former White House Chief Photographer Pete Souza.
President Barack Obama said on Instagram, “During my eight years in the White House, I might have spent more time with @PeteSouza than with anybody other than my family. Pete was always there to document the best and most challenging days of my presidency, from high-stakes meetings with world leaders to quiet mornings reading briefings in the Oval Office. Over time, and after more than a few games of cards, he became a friend, a confidante, a brother. His documentary @thewayiseeitfilm gives you an inside look at my presidency and his career as a White House photographer. I hope it shows you why it’s important to vote for a leader like @JoeBiden. Mrs. Obama tweeted, “For eight years, @PeteSouza was there capturing every moment of Barack’s time in office. I’m so grateful for his sharp eye—I hope you’ll watch @WayISeeItFilm tonight at 10pm ET on MSNBC and see why we need to vote for @JoeBiden like our lives depend on it. http://iwillvote.com”.
