It’s time for the return of the fun, insane game known as Wipeout.
The American television game show brings the wild obstacle course where contestants get rammed and knocked off course. Each contestant must make it through as fast as possible; otherwise, they’re “wiped out” from the course. The winner gets to take home a hefty prize and become the champion.
The show is once again hosted by John Cena (known for roles in Bumblebee, Blockers, F9, and The Suicide Squad), Nicole Byer (Nailed It!), and Camille Kostek. The first season premiered from April to June 2021. The series is a reboot of ABC’s version that lasted from 2008 to 2014. After a fine stint for the first season, notably the first episode launching as the highest-rated for a new unscripted series, TBS announced the series would get a second season.
The second season promises to bring more creative format twists and elements to test the willpower of the contestants. The question is, who will power through to take home the glory?
New episodes return on Tuesday, January 11th on TBS at 9/8c.
