Signature Films has announced that Odeya Rush (Lady Bird, Cha Cha Real Smooth), Eric Dane (“Euphoria,” “Grey’s Anatomy”), Saffron Burrows (“You,” “Mozart in the Jungle”), and Ray Liotta (“The Many Saints of Newark”) will star in Dangerous Waters, directed by John Barr (Blood and Money). Based on a script by Mark Jackson, and story by Barr, filming is currently underway in the Dominican Republic. Producers include Rio Luna Films’ Suza Horvat and Signature Films’ Marc Goldberg. Executive producers include Capstone Global’s Christian Mercuri and Signature’s Sarah Gabriel and Gareth Williams, as well as co-producers Brianna Johnson and Ben Jacques. Capstone Global will handle worldwide sales and introduce the film to buyers in Cannes.
In Dangerous Waters, a sailing holiday spirals out of control when a teenage daughter (Odeya Rush) uncovers the dark past of her mother’s new boyfriend.
The project is the second feature film from Barr, who previously directed Blood and Money with Tom Berenger, and has made a name for himself with his extensive cinematography work on projects including This Teacher, Once Upon a Time in Queens, American Bully and more recently the Ariana Grande, Megan Thee Stallion, and Jimmy Fallon music video “It Was A… (Masked Christmas)”.
