Saban Films has acquired the rights to Art Camacho’s action thriller Ruthless starring Dermot Mulroney and Javier Reyna’s Palido starring Kellan Lutz for distribution in North America, UK, Germany, Benelux, and Australia.
Ruthless follows a high school coach (Mulroney) who takes matters into his own hands by going after the men who kidnap his female student for their human trafficking operation. Jeff Fahey co-stars alongside Mulroney. The film was written by Javier Reyna, James Dean Simington, and Camacho, with Elias Axume, Al Bravo, Camacho, and HemDee Kiwanuka produce the film.
Palido centers on an attorney (Lutz) with a military past that hunts down the gang who killed his wife and took his daughter. Jeff Fahey and Efren Ramirez round out the key cast in the action-packed drama. Based on Reyna’s original screenplay, Elias Axume, Al Bravo, Moctesuma PALIDO – Kellan Lutz – Photo Credit Alley RutzelEsparza, and HemDee Kiwanuka produced the film.
Both films are currently in post-production. Jonathan Saba of Saban Films negotiated the deal with Premiere Entertainment’s SVP of Sales, Devin Carter.
